Identify Font: A Creative Display Choice

As a marketing designer, I often find myself in the middle of a campaign workflow where the right font can make or break a visual. Recently, I was tasked with designing a promotional graphic for a seasonal sale, and I knew I needed something that would stand out without being overwhelming. That’s when I reached for Identify, a display font that brings a playful yet sophisticated energy to any project.

Identify for Social Media Graphics and Branding

Identify is a decorative display font that exudes personality. Its clean lines and subtle flourishes make it perfect for social media graphics, especially when you need a bold statement. Whether it's an Instagram post, a YouTube thumbnail, or a Pinterest pin, this font adds a touch of creativity without sacrificing clarity.

In one campaign, I used Identify for a series of Instagram posts promoting a new product line. The font worked well for headlines and callouts, drawing attention while maintaining a friendly tone. It paired beautifully with a modern sans serif for body text, creating a balanced look that felt both professional and approachable.

Identify for YouTube Thumbnails and Visual Hierarchy

When designing YouTube thumbnails, first impressions are everything. I tested Identify on a few different thumbnails for a video series, and it made a noticeable difference. The font’s unique character helped the thumbnails stand out in a crowded feed, especially when paired with vibrant colors and strong visuals.

One challenge I faced was ensuring readability on mobile screens. Identify holds up well in small sizes, but I found that using it for longer text or dense information wasn’t ideal. For thumbnails, it worked best as a headline or label, not as a full caption. This makes it a great choice for quick, eye-catching visuals that don’t require too much text.

Identify for Digital Ads and Landing Pages

When working on a digital ad set for an online course launch, I wanted a font that could capture attention without being too distracting. Identify fit the bill perfectly. It added a sense of fun and creativity that aligned with the brand’s playful identity.

I used Identify for the main headline and CTA button, which helped guide the viewer’s eye through the design. The font’s versatility allowed it to work on both light and dark backgrounds, making it adaptable for different ad variations. However, I avoided using it for subheadings or body copy, as it didn’t offer the same level of legibility at smaller sizes.

Identify for Brand Campaigns and Logo Design

For a recent brand campaign focused on children’s games, I explored using Identify in logo design. The font’s playful style complemented the target audience, and its clean structure made it easy to adapt for different applications. It worked well for both wordmarks and icon-based logos, offering a modern yet whimsical feel.

One thing to note is that Identify may not be the best choice for more formal brand identities. Its decorative nature is better suited for creative, youth-oriented, or entertainment-focused projects. If the goal is to communicate professionalism or authority, a more traditional serif font or sans serif font might be a better fit.

Identify for Email Banners and Promotional Graphics

Email campaigns often rely on strong visual elements to grab attention, and Identify proved to be a valuable asset in this context. I used it for email banners and promotional headers, where its distinctive style helped reinforce the brand’s message without overwhelming the reader.

One tip I learned is to use Identify sparingly in email designs. Since many email clients have limited support for custom fonts, it’s important to ensure that the fallback font still looks good. I paired Identify with a clean sans serif font to maintain consistency across different devices and platforms.
